Outcome Reflection IX
Production and Delivery: I believe it represents the final lane of communication. It is the realization that the best content in the world fails if it is delivered in the wrong format. For Project 3, this meant developing multi-modal confidence. Whether I was working on the document or the slides for my presentation, I had to consider the "best principles for delivery." For example, what works on a printed page (long, dense paragraphs) fails on a PowerPoint.
I have seen this play out on many occasions during school classes. For instance, when I have to give an oral presentation versus writing a formal paper. This class has taught me to be cognizant of the subject so that I’m not just writing a paper, but I can also convert it into a visual presentation. By experimenting with different media in this project, I’ve learned that the delivery method is a message in itself. It is about being coherent and direct, making sure the technology supports the information rather than distracting from it.
