Outcome Reflection I

Initially, I intended to produce my "Whiskey Sour" instructional video based solely on memory. My decade of experience in the food and beverage industry has provided me with knowledge regarding the techniques and nuances of spirits like bourbon. However, for the "Organizational Design" I chose to supplement my professional confidence with research. I utilized primary sources, such as bartender manuals, and secondary sources, including mixology texts from my personal library, to verify the drink's classic foundations. This research approach led me to develop a clear methodology; I found myself posing critical research questions, such as how an egg white chemically alters the drink's texture to create a silky mouthfeel. Ultimately, this transformed the video’s organizational design from a simple list of ingredients into a structured experience. By aligning the content with the specific needs of my audience, I ensured the final draft facilitates genuine learning rather than mere imitation. This approach meets the audience’s needs and facilitates genuine learning.
