Outcome Reflection II

In the context of my Whiskey Sour instructional video, Written Communication focuses on crafting ethically and responsibly to prioritize audience readability and technical accuracy. For this project, maintaining such standards meant ensuring that scripts and on-screen descriptions were concise and error-free, allowing viewers to navigate complex steps without confusion. This outcome requires a delicate balance between professional authority and accessible language, ensuring that industry-specific terms like "dry shake" are clearly defined for a general audience. This relates directly to plain language principles and the importance of usability in technical writing. During my time as a bartender, I had seen how poorly written manuals lead to wasted ingredients; applying this I made sure my instructions were as direct and functional as they could be. Eliminating ambiguity transformed a simple best guess recipe into a reliable technical guide that respects my audience's time and skill level, with the goal of achieving the intended result.
